Earlier this June, my Summer kickstarted with a trip to South Korea. My friends and I visited three main cities – Busan, Jeju and Seoul. With only three short days, we’d to search for the top things to do in Busan to make the most out of it!

It’s been awhile since I had a trip with these guys, so it was really nice to be able to catch up with them over the week. 🙂

There’s nothing like airplane sunsets :’)

 1. Seomyeon Street Markets

Street markets are one of my places to wander about whenever I’m overseas! Seomyeon was one of the top things to do in Busan on our list as it’s known for its bustling streets of shopping, street food and entertainment! There was a whole street of Korean Beauty and Fashion shops in the Seomyeon Underground Market Shopping Centre right outside the Seomyeon train station! Prec and I were could not leave as soon as we stepped in and the boys gave us an hour to shop while they went to get haircuts ? (–> Which ended up taking 90 mins or so and was “the longest haircut of their lives”). The prices at this mall was one of the best through the three parts of South Korea other than Baviphat in Seoul (will share more on this in the future) and they have a huge range of shops all in one area! Talk about convenience. The brands include Innisfree, Etude House, Holika Holika, Missha, Nature Republic, The Face Shop, Skinfood, etc etc. (Basically all the Korean beauty brands you could rave about). One more thing about Korean beauty shops – they always try to entice you with a 1+1 offer (buy 1 get 1 free) so it was really hard to resist.

Holika Holika Water Drop Tint Cushion

I ended up with a bottle of Missha Time Revolution Essence, 2X Water Drop Tint Cushion from Holika Holika, 2X White Grape Fresh Foundation from Skinfood – none of which I regretted buying! The Korean beauty staff can be quite aggressive but also very helpful in educating you with what each product was for so be sure to ask them if you have any doubts or queries! The secret behind flawless skin of every Korean – affordable yet super-effective skincare and beauty products.

Other than the shopping, there were also several food streets right outside the station.

2. TaeJeongDae Natural Park

This park was beautiful!! I may just have found my favourite place in Busan right here. We chose to walk even though there was the option to take a Danubi Train (다누비열차) because the weather was beautiful and we got to enjoy the goodness of Mother Nature along the way! 🙂

3. Gamcheon Cultural Village

Ah yes, the good ol’ classic touristy spot. Well we just had to visit this place for the gram. Haha okay but those reasons aside, this was a really cute little village
